Hopefully this can be an ongoing thread.. we need to pamper ourselves once in a while. :) It can be anything!

For me, it's a big bag of "Food Should Taste Good" jalapeno chips and a travel book from amazon.com. :)

I bought some nude/beige wedge shoes; they were on sale and comfy and I had been looking for a pair for a while.......and I also had a pedicure; my toes are now purplely.

Just had a purplely pedicure myself! :D

I bought a purse. Actually...I bought 2 :/

ETA: DH gave me the gift of the purse back in March when I had some minor surgery. I JUST got the purse (I got to pick it out, etc)

I just got a couple of lipsticks from sephora a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately I mailed them home to GA instead of where I am now so I'll have to wait a couple of weeks to try them out.

I love this thread :D

Last month while my husband was in Missouri, I bought myself the collection of Harry Potter books in ebook format. I don't have an e-reader LOL, but I use the Nook and Kindle apps on my phone for the free classic books they offer so I always have something to read while I'm out and about. The idea of always having Harry Potter with me was too powerful so I bought them :P

In the last couple weeks, I went on a spending spree with my birthday money. I got some cloth diapers (which oddly make me happy), a new diaper bag, and some cute panty and bra sets (which don't fit very well at the moment :P

I got this really cool Xacto knife at Michael's today. It's to use as a box cutter at work. I'm probably the only person would be excited about such a thing. :p

You should have told me you wanted one. My sister sent me 3 box cutters for Christmas one year. My husband and I joked how they should have taped them outside the box so we could have used them :P It is by far the weirdest present I have ever received in my life (why does anyone need three box cutters??? :D) and I would have happily sent you one :P

I bought Deadlocked by Charlaine Harris at B&N last night. I'm too impatient to wait for my turn on the waitlist at the library and it's so rare for me to buy a book, so I got it. I'm going to have to learn patience for the next (and final) book, though. It doesn't come out until next year.

This is going to make me sound expensive... I bought a new winter coat. For the record, it was on sale and it was the only one left of a last season "model" and I really needed a new one. So, there you have it.
Before then it had been a while since I've bought myself something, but my favorite "me" treat is new running shoes!

You don't have to justify your purchase to anyone as long as you are happy with it.. we all need to treat ourselves once in a while! :)
Enjoy your coat! Do you have a picture of it?

I don't hack and slash at my boxes like a crazy woman, so I don't need any kind of serious heavy duty box cutter. If I ever quit my job I will have a very nice craft knife to take home.:)

I think shorter girls can rock the Maxi look even if you have to modify the length so it's long but not tripping over it.

This is a lot of ideas on how to wear a Maxi. I really like it. I have several floor length skirts and so I need ideas for them as well.

http://www.bluecollarcatwalk.com/2009/08/maxi-mum-progression.html

There are links at the bottom for more ideas.

My husband has to stand in the fitting room and tell me if you fit into an XS it doesn't make you look like you are fat. I have issues with my post baby stomach. This is taking a lot of me to do a dress not a two piece outfit. :D

For the last month I've had to deal with a painful hernia surgery and all of us having a really bad flu. Once I start feeling great again I'm treating myself to a massage, a facial, a haircut/color, pedicure and getting my nails done. I'm so tired of being in pain and I'm tired of being sick. DH has been really unsupportive lately. I'm not allowed to vent about havin a hard time because he has it sooooo much harder, insert eyeroll here, and dahlia hasn't slept for weeks so today I was having a really rough time. My mom took dahlia for me and I was just gonna go for a drive but I decided to get a mani/pedi instead. It was wonderful :D.

*i know DH is having a hard time being away buy when I've been the only parent for two months I have a hard time having sympathy for him all the time. This single parent thing is no joke and I have help. I seriously don't get how single parents do it. Major props to them.

Seriously, there was no parking except for in the Trader Joe's lot. Teavana is a little expensive, but you don't have to buy a lot of it at one time, and prices vary from fairly reasonable to exotically expensive. The green mint I bought cost $5, which gave me about the same amount as a box of Celestial Seasonings. Not too bad.

Knackered, Bluey, and All Hail the Queen. I've never used this brand before so I'm excited to get them!! :-)

Great choices! I'm not sure how familiar you are with "different" sorts of nail polish, but don't freak out and get disappointed when Knackered goes on sheer. You can put on several layers and get it to be opaque, but the real fun with Knackered is layering it over another color (especially black, slate blue, etc) to bring out the duochrome/multichrome finish.

Also, when you open a bottle of Butter London, you remove a piece of tape and lift off the black square cover on top to reveal a conventional round screw-on handle. The square thing is just for show.

GM I love LOVE those pants!

So, summer of last year I saw these Silver Jeans with the CUTEST back pockets I've ever seen... the S design was like vines and gorgeous. Unfortunately, the store they were in had one size... an inch to small in the waist. I kept coming back, hoping I lost that extra inch (but I'm already at the point where I can't really lose another inch without breaking and realigning my hips!). So, I moved on.

Today, at the "repeat" store (a consignment shop two doors down from the other clothing shop) I found THOSE jeans, one inch bigger in the waist!!!! And, since they were used, instead of the typical $60-$70 price tag, I got them for $18.99!!!

So, yay!

How big? The biggest bag I buy is...

7 pounds.

Most recent thing...um...I cringe at it but I bought myself the Samsung Galaxy tablet. I know I will be very happy with it. I also bought myself a high def webcam. It's pretty sweet.

I bought my first pair of colored jeans. I got a dark, rich red. Still getting used to the way they look on me...no used to so much attention being drawn to my hips and legs, but they are cute!

A simple long string of pearls (54") from Macy's.. I've been wanting one for ages. It was $300 reduced to $69. I even got an extra 10% off for using my Discover card. :)

Since the robbery of my house last April the insurance has given me a chance to replace some things.
I got a DKNY watch, earrings, a bangle bracelet, a ring, a wedding set(which I"m not crazy about), a necklace to match the earrings.
