Random question of the day...

Has anyone in America seen a soda stream penguin??? My mum really wants one so I'm wondering how easy it would be for me to get when I come over.

Like a penguin that dispenses a drink from a soda fountain? I have no idea :D

I have:-) they are pricey! Most friends I know went with a soda stream since it's half the cost.

That's cute! I've never heard of it or seen it before. We have a plain old soda stream though.

I have a normal one too. But my mum saw this and has her heart set on it.

And too right it's pricey... $200!!!!!

I've found it can only be bought from Williams Sonoma so I might need to ask Ms_Tex if we can swing by there one day if it's not too far... It can be her Christmas present...

There's a W-S less than 10 miles from our house, so we'll have to find time to stop by.

Hehe, a random thread indeed! :D I remember soda streams, but it is the first time I have heard of a soda penguin

I hadn't heard of either until my mum mentioned it. She's been advised to stay away from all drinks that include Aspartame but with another condition fizzy drinks are good for it so she's been told fizzy water and cordial is a good way to go. She started getting bottles but I pointed out to the long term cost, and the number of bottles that would be... We have a soda stream to save the number of bottles of fizzy water!

She excited that she's gonna get this for Christmas!

Depending on how big it is I might even splash out and upgrade mine!

Now I want one! :D I drink sparkling water everyday (it helps with my nausea).

My sister and parents both have one--and use it everyday! It's great. I make seltzer in it all the time when I'm there and it's totally worth the price. It comes with glass bottles, you stick them in the fridge to chill the water, and then pump it full of bubbles. The kids love it too and think it's soda pop.

You can get them at high end kitchen places or order it on amazon.

I think it's the glass carafe that she really likes :)
